1 shot, another detained on Indy's near southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS - One person is hospitalized in critical condition and another is in police custody after a reported shooting on the near southeast side of Indianapolis.




Indianapolis Metro police officers were called just after 3 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of Wagner Lane and E. Raymond Street for a person shot. This is near Raymond and S. Sherman Drive.




Upon arrival, IMPD said officers found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. That person is reported to be in critical condition.




IMPD also said that one person has been detained in relation to the shooting. Officials said the person's involvement, if any, will now be determined by detectives.
