
DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. - Two people were hospitalized after a semi crash in Delaware County on Monday.
According to a Facebook post from the Yorktown Fire Department, first responders were called called to the intersection of County Road 500 West and State Road 332 to provide assistance at a vehicle crash scene. Initial reports YFD received indicated multiple people may have sustained serious injuries in the crash.
When units from YFD, the Yorktown Police Department, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the Muncie Fire Department and Gaston Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene, they located a semi that had rolled into a ditch.

First responders found two people lying in the ditch outside the semi. Those individuals were believed to be the semi's occupants.
YFD did not specify if the individuals were ejected from the semi during the crash.
A medical helicopter was initially called to the scene to transport the semi's occupants. The helicopter was later disregarded, and the semi's occupants were transported via ground ambulance.
YFD did not provide any additional information on the medical conditions of the semi's occupants. It is also unclear exactly when the crash occurred on Monday.
