INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured two people early Tuesday morning.
According to IMPD, around 12:35 a.m., officers received a report of a person shot in the 2100 block of North Riley Ave. The reported victim then got into a vehicle and left the scene heading towards 21st street.
Shortly after, Officers stopped the vehicle at the intersection of 21st and Glenridge Drive. Numerous people were outside the vehicle and officers found two males that had injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
One victim was an adult male that received a graze wound. The second male was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Officers do not know if the second male is an adult or juvenile.
Police believe the possible cause of the shooting is a drug deal gone wrong between two parties.
Police do not have a description of the suspects, but IMPD believes there is no threat to the community as it is believed the location of the shooting was only used as a meetup area.
