
INDIANAPOLIS - Two people were injured in a shooting near Riverside Park in Indianapolis on Sunday.
Public police reporting systems indicate Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers have been stationed near the park since 5:37 p.m. Police reported that they received word of a shooting that occurred in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive East around 6:18 p.m.
IMPD has confirmed that two adult males were injured in the shooting. Both men are currently in stable condition, according to IMPD.
FOX59/CBS4 sent a crew to Riverside Park. That crew found a large gathering of people when it arrived at the scene.
It is currently unclear if the shooting and large gathering at Riverside Park are related. Police have not yet provided any additional information about the shooting, the circumstances that led to it or the persons involved in it.
