Queen Latifah Returns To Host American Music Awards After 30-Year Gap

Queen Latifah will host the 2026 American Music Awards on May 25th at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, marking her return three decades after co-hosting with Tom Jones and Lorrie Morgan in 1995. The live ceremony airs on CBS and Paramount+ on Memorial Day. "I am so excited to return to the American Music Awards stage to host this year," Latifah said. "It's been an incredible year for music and there is no better place to celebrate than in Vegas." Jennifer Lopez hosted last year's ceremony, where Billie Eilish won 7 awards including Artist of the Year. Latifah recently received National Medals of Arts & Humanities recognition and is developing her biopic.
