Britney Spears Says She's Lucky To Be Alive After Being Mistreated By Her Family

Britney Spears severely criticized her family on Instagram Wednesday night (Feb. 4), stating she is "incredibly lucky to even be alive" following their treatment of her. The pop star posted a photo of a child holding a parent's hand, writing in the caption: "for those of you in your family that have said to help you is to isolate you and make you feel unbelievably left out ... they were wrong." She added "I'm incredibly lucky to even be alive with how my family treated me once in my life and now I'm scared of them." Spears reflected that her family won't accept responsibility for their role in her conservatorship, writing "no matter what he says, they will never take responsibility for what they did." Spears also shared the reason why she hasn't posted any of her customary dancing videos on social media lately, revealing "I haven't danced in a month because I broke my toe twice!"
