Bruno Mars Announces Completion Of His First Solo Album In Nearly A Decade

Bruno Mars announced on social media on Monday (January 5) that his new solo album is complete, stating succinctly, "My album is done." This marks his first solo studio project since 2016's Grammy-winning 24K Magic, which produced hits like "That's What I Like" and "24K Magic" and earned six awards at the 2018 Grammys. Since then, Mars collaborated with Anderson .Paak on 2021's An Evening With Silk Sonic and featured on several major hits. His 2024 collaboration "APT." with BLACKPINK's Ros became the first No. 1 song by a K-pop artist on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart, and earned nearly 4.9 billion global streams while topping the year-end edition of the Billboard Global 200 chart. The track won Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards and received three Grammy nominations, including for Record and Song of the Year. Mars also released the chart-topping, Grammy-nominated "Die With a Smile" with Lady Gaga in 2024 and "Fat Juicy & Wet" with Sexyy Red in 2025.
