Ed Sheeran Is Letting Fans Request Songs Via Text For His 2026 'Loop Tour'

Ed Sheeran is allowing fans to text song requests during his 2026 Loop Tour. The 4-time Grammy winner launched the interactive format during his Auckland shows on Friday and Saturday night (January 16-17). Before the first concert, Sheeran explained the process on his Instagram Story: "There's five slots in the gig, where I'll play any song that you guys decide. So whatever song you wanna hear at the gig, go look at the screen, text it, and it'll basically tally up the songs, and I will play those songs." He added: "Whatever the song, I'll learn it before the show. I'm prepared, so surprise me." Sheeran then performed a series of fan-selected tracks during both gigs, including rare songs like "Sofa" from 2008, which he hadn't performed since 2013, along with "Little Bird," "Tenerife Sea," "Lego House," and "Kiss Me." The tour continues with shows in Wellington, Christchurch, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide before heading to South America and North America.
