Green Day Set To Perform At Super Bowl 60 Opening Ceremony

Green Day will headline the Super Bowl LX opening ceremony on February 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The East Bay punk trio will perform a medley of hits while past Super Bowl MVPs walk onto the field during the ceremony celebrating the championship game's 60-year history. "We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard!" frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in a statement. "We are honored to welcome the MVPs who've shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let's have fun! Let's get loud!" Green Day also scheduled a hometown show during Super Bowl weekend, playing with fellow Bay Area rock veterans Counting Crows at San Francisco's Pier 29 on February 6. Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl halftime show, while Charlie Puth will sing the National Anthem, Brandi Carlile is set to perform "America the Beautiful," and Coco Jones will deliver "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
