KATSEYE's Manon Bannerman Taking A Break From Group For Health Reasons

KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman is temporarily stepping away from group activities in order "to focus on her health and wellbeing," according to a Weverse announcement. The statement disclosed that they made this decision after "open and thoughtful conversations together" and that Hybe and Geffen Records "fully support this decision." The remaining five members of KATSEYE will "continue scheduled activities during this time," with the group sharing that "we look forward to being together again when the time is right." The news follows KATSEYE's recent Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Previously, the global girl group revealed that they hired a therapist to handle the pressures of stardom and online harassment. Bannerman told the BBC last fall that the death threats were "very terrorizing on the mind." KATSEYE's statement said the group "remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us."
