Madonna Confirms 'Confessions II' Sequel To 2005 Album

Madonna officially confirmed she's creating a sequel to her 2005 Grammy-winning album Confessions On A Dance Floor. The pop icon wiped her Instagram account Tuesday, teased lyrics from the original album's hit "Hung Up," and then updated her website to display Confessions II flashing across the screen. No release date was announced, though Madonna has hinted at the project since December 2024, with Rolling Stone previously reporting a dance album was expected this year. "I'm putting my heart and soul into my new music and I can't wait to share it with you," she told fans last February. This marks her first album since 2019's Madame X.
