Paramore's Hayley Williams Launches Indie Rock Side Project Power Snatch With Daniel James

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has launched a new musical project called Power Snatch alongside frequent collaborator Daniel James. The duo has released four tracks so far, including a three-song EP titled EP1 featuring the songs "DMs," "DUH," and "HOLE IN THE CEILING," plus a standalone spoken-word piece called "ASSIGNMENT." Williams and James announced the project during a recent Apple Music 1 takeover, though they had been quietly teasing material since July with Instagram snippets and a December Bandcamp release of "DMs." The music spans indie, grunge, shoegaze, and noise rock styles. James previously co-wrote and co-produced Williams' Grammy-nominated solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, while also contributing keyboards, guitar, and bass to the project. EP1 is available through [untitled] and Bandcamp, while "ASSIGNMENT" is currently streaming on YouTube and other platforms. Williams is set to begin her sold-out North American solo tour in late March.
