Taylor Swift Set To Join Songwriters Hall of Fame As One Of Youngest Inductees Ever

Taylor Swift will enter the Songwriters Hall of Fame this summer at age 36, becoming one of the youngest inductees in the organization's history, and the youngest woman ever to receive the honor. Only Stevie Wonder was younger when he was inducted at the age of 33 in 1983. Swift joins the 2026 class alongside Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, R&B/pop hitmaker Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, British songwriting duo Terry Britten & Graham Lyle, and frequent Mariah Carey collaborator Walter Afanasieff. The ceremony will take place on June 11 at New York City's Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Swift became eligible after her 2006 debut single, "Tim McGraw," reached its 20th anniversary. "Taylor qualified from when she was 15 years old," said SHOF President and CEO Linda Moran. "That's shortly after she signed her publishing deal and had her first commercial release. So age-wise, she's the youngest, and I don't know when we're going to see someone that young again." Swift received the Hal David Starlight Award from the SHOF in 2010, and she now becomes the first person to graduate from the Starlight to full membership status.
