INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Gov. Mike Braun has made a wager ahead of the NBA Finals.
In a post on social media, Braun called out Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, stating that he believes the Indiana Pacers will win in their NBA Finals matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The two teams start the best-of-seven NBA Finals series at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
In the post, Braun said that the Pacers are "on fire" and that he wouldn't want to be the team that gets in their way.
"Got a big contest coming up and I want to make a little wager," Braun said in the video accompanying the post. "I'm predicting that we are going to win as the underdogs. If I lose, you are going to get a big package of pork products from the Smoking Goose Meatery. Anxious to see what you are going to do."
In response to Braun, Stitt said in a social media post that the Thunder are going to "bring it home."
"The storm is coming," Stitt said. "Cannot wait for this series. I absolutely accept your challenge. I'll tell you what, I'm going to put on the line some of the best steaks in the world from right here in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma City Thunder is going to bring home the championship, no doubt about it."
