Caitlin Clark to participate in WNBA 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will soon participate in her first-ever professional three-point contest, the team announced Tuesday.




Clark is reportedly set to enter the WNBA All-Star Weekend 3-point contest, which will be held Friday as part of All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. The event will be played out at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Clark's home turf. Clark said she will participate despite recent injury issues.




This will be Clark's first time participating in a 3-point contest as a pro basketball player. She declined the invitation to last year's competition at All-Star Weekend.




Clark will be competing against several of the WNBA's best sharpshooters during the competition. Other star participants include Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty and Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron.




The event, sponsored by Starry, is set to take place Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis. The WNBA All-Star Game, of which Clark is a starter and team captain, will take place at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
