INDIANAPOLIS - Two people are in custody after a police pursuit ended at the Indianapolis-Carmel border.
Reports streamed into the newsroom about a large police presence near 96th and Ditch Road on Friday afternoon. An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department run confirmed that Indy metro officers were called to assist Carmel police just before 4 p.m.
IMPD deferred to the Carmel Police Department, which is the lead agency in the case.
At 5:30 p.m., Carmel confirmed the incident was the result of a police pursuit. Carmel police said two people are currently in custody after the pursuit ended near 96th and Ditch.
The police department gave no additional information.
