CARMEL, Ind. - After being voted out three years ago, Carmel High School is returning to the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference.
Carmel's athletic director confirmed the school's return to MIC in an email to FOX59.
Carmel was one of the original members of MIC when the conference was established in 1996. But in 2021, Carmel High School and Center Grove High School were both removed in a unanimous vote.
Now, Carmel is set to return to the conference after a multi-year absence. The central Indiana schools currently a part of the MIC are Ben Davis, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, North Central, Pike and Warren Central.
