
COLUMBUS, Ind. - A state police investigation claims a Columbus man was allegedly involved in child molestation and the production of child sexual abuse material.
Indiana State Police confirmed Andrew Case, 38, was arrested on preliminary charges of child molesting, a Level 4 felony; production of child pornography, a Level 4 felony; possession of child porn, a Level 5 felony, and sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 6 felony.
The case against Case began with a tip submitted to an ISP detective. The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched Case's residence on April 29. Information uncovered during the search led to Case's arrest.
Police did not provide details on Case's alleged crimes, saying only that the search allegedly uncovered that Case was involved in child molestation and the production of child sexual abuse material.
Case is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail.
Official charges have not yet been filed.
