SPEEDWAY, Ind. - Connor Zilisch won the 2025 Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.
Zilisch started the race in seventh and led 19 laps in total before the checkered flag flew. Sam Mayer, who started the race in first place, led 32 laps - more than any other driver in the field.
Taylor Gray, Kyle Larson and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top five, coming in third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Larson - who won the 2024 Brickyard 400 at IMS - led seven laps after starting the race in 19th.
Counting Saturday's race, Zilisch has won five times on the Xfinity circuit this year. Zilisch has now won three straight Xfinity Series races. He was victorious in the BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway on July 19 and the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 at Sonoma Raceway.
Coming into Saturday's race, Zilisch was second in the Xfinity Series standings. He trailed Justin Allgaier by 21 points.
Allgaier finished 36th in Saturday's race, picking up 20 points on the day. Zilisch's first-place finish earned him 55 points, allowing him to surpass Allgaier in the standings.
On his career, Zilisch has won six Xfinity Series races. He also boasts 15 career top 10s on the Xfinity circuit.
The 2025 Brickyard 400 is slated to begin on Sunday at 2 p.m. at IMS. Indiana native Chase Briscoe will start in first after winning the pole on Saturday.
