Expect a rather cloudy and damp start to your Wednesday morning, as temperatures hover in the lower 60s/upper 50s. The morning rush hour should remain dry before scattered showers begin to build back in statewide with a passing trough.
This afternoon will be heavy with clouds and passing showers off and on should be expected, as temperatures hold in the lower 60s. Winds today will be breezy, too, from the west at 16-22 mph...somewhat raw for late May.
More of the same on Thursday, with lesser coverage in rain chances (30%), but still quite cool, as highs barely reach the lower 60s, under mostly cloudy skies.
Brighter weather returns on Carb Day with only the weakest of a shower chance (5%), as highs slowly move back into the lower to middle 60s.
Race weekend remains dry for Saturday and the best of the weekend, for now! Sunday is race day and rain chances remain in the mix for the early morning hours, including the track.
We continue to monitor the trends with a best case scenario having rain depart by mid-morning and drier air punching in through the afternoon with some sunshine. Expect more updates in the days ahead and stay tuned for changes.
