Cops find bombs, drugs in Broad Ripple home during arrest of suspected I-465 shooter

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana State Police found drugs and bombs inside a Broad Ripple home during the arrest of an interstate shooting suspect last week, according to court filings.
Investigators tracked 19-year-old Logan Quisenberry to the rental home in the 6100 block of Indianola Avenue.
On Sept. 11, troopers arrested Quisenberry in the driveway of the home. During a search of the property, investigators found four "improvised explosive devices" as well as the materials to make them. The bomb squad had to be called in to render them safe.
Troopers also found several large bags of marijuana and magic mushrooms.
The bombs and drugs were not the reason detectives were first after Quisenberry. Police believe he was the person who shot at a family's vehicle on Interstate 465 in late August.
On Aug. 21, a motorcyclist fired off several shots after a driver honked at him. One of those shots was fired at a vehicle that was carrying a man, his wife and their two children.
At the time, police released an image of the suspect's motorcycle and tips were called in, including one from a man who believed the bike in the photo was the same one he had sold earlier in the year.
Police pulled security footage from the gas station where the sale happened and confirmed that man's theory and that the buyer was Quisenberry. Police tracked him to a home in Broad Ripple and found a motorcycle registered to him.
According to charging documents, investigators say Quisenberry had spraypainted the bike to hide its distinct green color.
Quisenberry's roommate told cops that he had traveled to California to purchase the drugs and then brought them back to Indiana. They also told police that Quisenberry was involved in a shooting on the interstate.
During a search of a storage locker Quisenberry was renting, police say they found several guns, including the one believed to have been used in the interstate shooting.
Quisenberry was arrested on charges including criminal recklessness, possession of a destructive device as well as dealing marijuana and narcotics. The Marion County Prosecutor has yet to file formal criminal charges.
Quisenberry is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday morning.
