Death investigation underway after body found in White River

INDIANAPOLIS - A body was found in the White River on Memorial Day morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department




Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 11:08 a.m. on a report of a death investigation to the area of N White River Parkway and W Michigan St.




Upon arrival, authorities located a deceased adult male in White River. A dive team with the Indianapolis Fire Department removed the victim from the water.




The Marion County Coroner's Office will determine the manner and cause of death, according to police.
