Ashley Anne Challenges the Odds with Empowering New Country Single "love looks like"

Country singer-songwriter Ashley Anne continues the bold new chapter of her artistry with the release of her deeply personal new single, "love looks like."

Following the momentum of "happy birthday," which marked a defining shift in both her sound and storytelling, Ashley returns with a song that turns generational fear into fearless hope. Co-written by Ashley Anne, Ryan Kohn, and Eli Winders, "love looks like" was sparked by a statistic Ashley stumbled across online, one claiming that 60% of daughters of divorce and 40% of sons of divorce will go on to be divorced themselves. Instead of quietly accepting that narrative, she chose to write against it.

"I saw this statistic online that 60% of daughters of divorce and 40% of sons of divorce will go on to be divorced one day and it irked me," Ashley shares. "We grow up wanting to be so far from our parents when we're products of divorce. I was like, well I'm in love... does that mean I should just never get married, lol? So I wrote love looks like as a sort of fight against a statistic that was not in my favor as someone in a relationship with a dream of being married and having a family. It's a freedom in song that speaks, 'I can be a product of brokenness and still create wholeness in my own life.'"

A Virginia Beach native, Ashley has steadily grown her fan base through her signature emotional transparency, following releases like "couch surfing," her debut EP, dear dolly, and her sophomore project, call me when you land. Recently, she signed an exclusive management agreement with One Spark Entertainment, marking a new era of creative focus.

Named an Artist to Watch in 2026 by 1883 Magazine and Galore, and previously recognized by Holler, Sweety High, Women of Country, and Spotify's Fresh Finds Class of 2024, Ashley's rise has been marked by both critical acclaim and undeniable fan connection. She has shared the stage with Avery Anna, Charles Wesley Godwin, Tigirlily Gold, and Josh Turner, performed at CMA Fest in both 2024 and 2025, made a spotlight appearance at Spotify House, and recently wrapped a 12-city run opening for Maddox Batson.

With "happy birthday" and now "love looks like," Ashley Anne is laying the foundation for her forthcoming project, which will feature both fan favorites and further cement her place as one of the most compelling voices in the next generation of country artists.
