The Band Perry Returns With "Psychological," Their First New Music After Nine-Year Break

The Band Perry released their new single, "Psychological," on Friday (Feb. 13), their first song in nine years. The track marks what founder Kimberly Perry calls "Band Perry season 2," and features Perry alongside her husband Johnny Costello, who joined the group after her brothers Reid and Neil departed to pursue individual projects. Perry, 42, originally formed the band with her siblings at the age of 15, achieving breakthrough success in 2010 with the No. 1 hit "If I Die Young." Reid now works in artist management while Neil is focused on his solo work. Costello joined the group after the couple performed a Hurricane Helene benefit show in their hometown. "There's a lot of changes that our band has had over the years," Perry said, "but one thing that's always remained the same, [is] this has been a family band rooted in the Appalachian Mountains in East Tennessee."
