Carrie Underwood Surprises Nashville Church Congregation On Easter Sunday

Carrie Underwood made an unexpected appearance at a Nashville-area church on Easter Sunday, performing "How Great Thou Art" just days after singing the same worship standard on American Idol's faith-focused episode. Churchgoers shared videos on social media showing Underwood's moving performance, backed by a choir in the local congregation. One attendee wrote, "Carrie Underwood just did this on 'American Idol' this past week & I said to Dan as she was singing, 'Man, to be in the room for THAT!' and then boom, she does it at the Easter program we just attended." Underwood also performed "Name Above All Names," a 2024 release by Christian artist Charity Gayle. This marks another surprise church appearance for the devoted Christian singer, who has previously performed at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee.
