Corey Kent Welcomes New Era As He Teams With Koe Wetzel On New Single, "Rocky Mountain Low"

Corey Kent's new collaboration with Koe Wetzel, "Rocky Mountain Low," is currently sitting at No. 30 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart dated January 31. The song was inspired during a family ski trip to Crested Butte, Colorado, where the 31-year-old country singer experienced what he calls "this magical moment" at the mountain's peak. Kent co-wrote the track on January 15, 2025, with songwriters Austin Goodloe, Thomas Archer, and Michael Tyler in Nashville. The song centers on a recently single man returning to old vices, while containing a rock influence from Eric Clapton's Slowhand. Recording sessions took place at Sound Emporium studio, with Wetzel's vocals added in Cisco, Texas. RCA Nashville released the single to country radio on December 4. "What you hope for as an artist is to carve your own lane, and to me, this embodied that the most," Kent said of the track, which represents what he calls "a new era of Corey."
