Nashville songstress Dani Jack releases her bold new single, "Runaway," out today, a gritty, attitude-filled song about the kind of chemistry that burns hot before disappearing just as fast.
"I wrote 'Runaway' after getting ghosted by a guy who'd never been in a relationship longer than a month," shares Dani Jack. "No matter how electric it feels at the start, some people are just too afraid to stay. It's gritty, it's got attitude, and it might be my favorite release yet."
Written by Dani Jack, John Cirillo, and Sarah Spencer, "Runaway" was produced by Grammy-winning Nashville producer Robin Ruddy, whose musicianship brings added weight and texture to the track's gritty, live-wire energy. Built around the frustration of loving someone who never learned how to stay, "Runaway" captures the emotional whiplash of mixed signals, broken promises, and the moment clarity finally replaces chasing.
Dani Jack has steadily built her name in Nashville through strong vocals and relatable storytelling. Described by Edible Nashville as "a voice that makes you sit up and take notice," she blends country grit with bluesy soul and rock edge, drawing comparisons to Bonnie Raitt, Miranda Lambert, and Linda Ronstadt.
Since relocating to Nashville in 2016, Dani has sharpened her craft as a commanding live performer, spending years on Lower Broadway stages. Her independently funded debut EP, Grace, arrived in 2018 following the exclusive premiere of her debut single "Fallin' For It" on WSMV TODAY. The project earned praise from Variety Beat for its vocal range and versatility and remains her most-streamed release.

Her music video for "Fun To Be Had" premiered on CMT.com, helping expand her national reach, and she previously opened on Cirque Musica's arena tour. Rooted in authenticity rather than trends, Dani continues to write from a place of resilience, independence, and emotional truth, with "Runaway" standing as one of her sharpest statements yet. She celebrated the single with a release show on April 9 at The Green Light Bar in Nashville, performing the song live for fans ahead of today's official drop.
