Megan Moroney And Ella Langley Make Country Music History On Billboard Charts

Megan Moroney and Ella Langley have achieved a historic milestone for women in country music by simultaneously topping Billboard's premier album and singles charts. Moroney's new album, Cloud 9, debuts at No. 1 on this week's Billboard 200, while Langley's "Choosin' Texas" returns to No. 1 on the Hot 100 after first topping the chart three weeks earlier. This marks the first time two women who primarily record country music have ruled both all-genre charts in the same week, dating back to the Hot 100's launch in August 1958. Both releases come via Sony Music Entertainment. Fellow country star Miranda Lambert also co-wrote and co-produced "Choosin' Texas" with Langley, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor. The achievement earns Moroney her first Billboard 200 leader and Langley her first Hot 100 No. 1. "Choosin' Texas" previews Langley's upcoming album, Dandelion, which will be released on April 10th.
