Jon Pardi Returns To Boot-Themed Songs With His Current Single, "Boots Off"

Jon Pardi has recently released his third boot-themed song, "Boots Off," marking a decade since the release of his 2016 breakthrough album California Sunrise, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The new single follows his previous No. 1 hits "Head Over Boots" and "Dirt on my Boots" from 2016. Pardi co-wrote the track in August 2023 with Luke Laird and Wyatt McCubbin after struggling to remove tight leather boots following a concert performance. "Sometimes when you're wearing boots all night - especially Lucchesi, it's real leather - they heat up and they're hard to get off," Pardi explained. Producer Jay Joyce recorded the song with Pardi's road band plus additional musicians, creating what Pardi calls "a rock 'n' roll country song." Capitol Nashville released "Boots Off" to country radio on December 15, and it has since climbed to No. 41 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. "Hopefully it's a 'boot' trifecta No. 1," Pardi said.
