Kenny Chesney Working On New Setlist Opener For 2026 Sphere Las Vegas Shows

Kenny Chesney will debut a fresh concert opener and possibly a revamped setlist when his residency resumes at Sphere Las Vegas in June 2026. The country star shared a preview of the band rehearsals on social media, captioning the post, "Already working on the new intro music for Sphere. Can't wait." Chesney called his Sphere live experience - which initially ran from May through June 2025 -  "unlike anything I've ever been part of" and described the shows as "incredible." His Sphere performances represent the first country music residency at the high-tech venue, which opened in 2023. The shows utilize Sphere's immersive audio-visual technology, including its 16K resolution wraparound screen covering 160,000 square feet. The 57-year-old country superstar previously said his residency will offer fans "a completely new way to experience live music." Chesney's 2026 Sphere residency dates are set for June 19, 20, 24, 26, and 27, with tickets and VIP packages on sale now.
