Nate Smith Teams With Tyler Hubbard On New Single "After Midnight"

Nate Smith has partnered with Tyler Hubbard for his latest single, "After Midnight," which reached No. 30 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in its eighth week. Hubbard penned the song in July 2023 with co-writers Corey Crowder and Casey Brown, flipping the common saying, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight," into "Something good always happens after midnight." Smith is honored to partner with Hubbard, saying of his celebrated former group, Florida Georgia Line, "They were a massive influence on me, because what they did so well is sing-along, banger anthems. That's what I like." The collaboration began when Hubbard pitched the song to Smith, saying "I just kept hearing Nate's voice on it." RCA Nashville released the track to country radio on November 13th, with Smith noting the song has an advantage because it is "an uptempo rocker in the middle of winter" when radio typically receives more ballads.
