Presley & Taylor Get Edgy With New "Out Of Dodge"

Country newcomers Presley & Taylor today release "OUT OF THIS DODGE" an edgier tune from the Connecticut-bred charmers. Written by Presley & Taylor, Sam Blasko, Claire Carruthers and Brent McCollough, the rebellious track captures the turmoil of knowing it's time to leave a relationship and pulling the trigger. Employing a classic Country turn of phrase to "get out of dodge," the song finds the narrator running from the truth, like they're running from the cops. The turbulent track evokes the reckless thrill of doing something you know won't end well-because it's fun to do bad things... until it isn't anymore.
"This one is a little more fiery- we had so much fun playing with the lyrics and crafting it in a way that you feel that anxious and fed up kind of feeling," shared Presley & Taylor. "It's been really exciting to play this one live too, we've been testing it out while out on tour."
This single follows up the autobiographical ballad "THE KIND OF GIRL," that sends an embracing message to the MILLIONS of Country fans worldwide that aren't native to the South. The track serves as a declaration of their place in Nashville after spending years writing, recording and touring while showing reverence to the sisters' northern roots. "THE KIND OF GIRL" was the lead single from their forthcoming new album with producer Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Koe Wetzel, etc.).
The sisters are currently on tour with Haley Mae Campbell and will celebrate the release of "OUT OF THIS DODGE" at their show in Memphis tonight. After hitting Jacksonville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, Presley & Taylor will return to Nashville for a special performance on Monday's Song Suffragettes. The duo has taken stages all across the country, building their base and honing their craft and expanding their audience. With more new music on the way, the twosome will be telling their life's story and wearing their hearts on their sleeves.
