Mary Sarah is celebrating the release of her new, uptempo "Temporary Man" today. The track was co-written with Abby Rowe, Austin Cannon and Phillip Morgan and inspired by "the space between a fling and a ring."
"I wrote this song about that space between a fling and forever," she says. "Not long ago I went through a break up and became single after a five-year relationship. The idea and melody came to me in the car ride to the writing session and was inspired by the men who just want to hook up. This is the only time I will say thank you to that kind of man, for showing me what I don't want."
"Temporary Man" follows the playful, "Drunk Enough" (August 1), her first release since 2024's "The Bottom" and "Baby Mama" which launched The Baby Mama Podcast.
