Breakout Artist Abbie Callahan to Release "Simon Says" on November 7

Rising singer-songwriter Abbie Callahan will release her empowering new song "Simon Says" on November 7 via Twelve6 Entertainment. Co-written by Callahan alongside Aron Rosing and Emma Klein, the track pairs Callahan's signature vulnerability with clever lyrical framing transforming a painful situationship into a universal story of reclaiming personal power. Already resonating strongly online, "Simon Says" has amassed nearly 4 million impressions across social platforms ahead of its official release.
What began as a raw note in her phone evolved into one of her most meaningful songs yet.
"'Simon Says' started as a really sad diary entry in my notes app," Callahan shares. "With time, I was able to look at it more objectively and realized that almost every woman I know has a version of this story. To bring some lightness to it, I framed the situationship as a long game of Simon Says. I knew the song was special the day we wrote it last December. Even though it sat on the shelf while I promoted my last EP, I never stopped believing it would have its moment and I'm so grateful that it's now resonating with so many women."
The song's lyrics reflect that emotional shift:
Now are you really gonna call me crazy
Telling me I put words in your mouth
You're the one who called me your baby
But can't you hear how that sounds
Kissing me like I'm the one
Tellin' me it's all in my head
It don't matter what Simon does
Guess it only matters what Simon says
"Simon Says" continues Callahan's ascent as an artist unafraid to fuse honesty, lyrical depth, and pop-ready hooks and her peers are taking notice. Fellow artist Hudson Westbrook has already shown support for the track on TikTok, amplifying its buzz ahead of release. Following the success of her debut EP Grossly Aware, the new single marks the first in a wave of forthcoming music set to arrive in the months ahead.
