Docs: Bloomington man threatened girls, forced them to walk multiple miles without food, water

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A Bloomington man allegedly threatened to strike two girls with a rock while forcing them to walk multiple miles, according to a police report by the Bloomington Police Department.
On Wednesday, 34-year-old Patrick McCoin was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent, resisting law enforcement, battery of a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.
The report alleges that McCoin forced the two girls, ages 10 and 12, to walk for multiple miles without food or water, which reportedly resulted in an injury to the 12-year-old.
When McCoin was apprehended, the report alleges that an officer was kicked in the leg and McCoin "vandalized body-worn camera equipment owned by the Bloomington Police Department."
The Monroe County Prosecutor's Office has yet to make official charges in regards to this incident. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
