Docs: Dad charged for attacking his baby in 2023

EATON, Ind. - An Eaton dad was charged after he allegedly attacked his baby, according to court documents.




Hunter King was charged with two counts of Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony.




Officers with the Eaton Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of E Harris St. on Feb. 2, 2023, at approximately 7:57 p.m. on a report of child abuse.

The Department of Child Services, and the victim's mother, arrived to the scene to gather belongings and went to the police station soon after. While speaking to police, the victim's mother recounted times where the suspect attacked her and their children out of anger.




According to court documents, a four month old baby had bruises on their had that allegedly stemmed for King's attacks. The mom stated that he would get "frustrated easy." While the initial belief system was that the child may have been accidentally struck with a toy, hospital officials noted that the bruising on the forehead and eyelid were greater than what could have happened from a Lego toy.
