Docs: Man arrested for stalking, threatening to kill woman

MUNCIE, Ind. - A Muncie man was arrested after he allegedly sent dozens of messages threatening to kill his child's mother.




Gavin Christol, 24, was charged with the following:

• Stalking, a Level 5 Felony





• Intimidation, a Class 6 Felony





• Invasion of Privacy, a Class A Misdemeanor

Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of N Everett Rd. on May 2 at approximately 11:31 a.m. on a report of a violation of a protective order.

According to court documents, in early April, Christol busted a mirror off of the side of a woman's car. The woman alerted authorities about the violation. Further, she stated how he sent messages that said he wanted to kill her, strangle her, and "squeeze the life out of her and see the life leave her body."




She also claimed that he said he wanted to, "spit on her dead body and grave." Christol, who shares a daughter with the woman, allegedly said, "that their daughter would be better off with [her] dead." The man reportedly sent text everyday saying that he wanted to kill her.




Police corroborated that the messages were, "very threatening." Officers also stated that text said if she didn't stop dating a specific man that he would be shot in the head.
