
ANDERSON, Ind. - An Anderson man was arrested after he allegedly set nine fires to homes, dumpsters, trailers, and more in late June.
Jeremy Hudson, 43, was charged with the following:
- Arson, a Level 4 Felony
- Burglary, a Level 4 Felony
- Criminal Mischief, a Class B misdemeanor
According to court documents, there were nine suspicious fires set around the Anderson area from Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29. The Anderson Police Department apprehended Hudson after he was allegedly seen in an alley near where a fire was located at 120 John Street.
During the investigation, victims of his reported crimes said that Hudson was talking but not making any sense. Officers later reported that Hudson said he was trying to 'sanctify' and 'cleanse the land,' as stated in the court documents. Hudson allegedly said that he has a gift and can hear the screams of victims.
