Docs: Woman battered husband with baseball bat, arrested

MUNCIE, Ind. - A Muncie woman was arrested after she allegedly beat her husband with a baseball bat.




Heather Monroe, 46, was charged with the following:

• Battery with a Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony





• Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Child, a Level 6 Felony

Officers with the Muncie Police Department were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Memorial Drive on a report of a domestic disturbance.




Upon arrival, crews spoke with Monroe, and she told authorities that her husband hit her. There were no visible marks from the reported attack on Monroe. However, her husband did have visible marks after allegedly being battered with a baseball bat.




Monroe was further charged with domestic battery in the presence of a child due to there being minors in the home at the time of the offense.
