Drying out and heating up the next few days

Drying out and heating up the next few days

A mix of clouds and sunshine will be expected at sunrise (6:35 am), as plenty of dry time takes hold for today, in most locations. Warm temperatures expected out-the-door too, in the lower 70s, and a very quiet start to a new workweek!

This afternoon should bring continued dry weather for most of the area, as winds remain light from the northeast at 5-10 mph. With a stalled front downstate, a pop-up t'shower (20%) will be possible, mainly south of Indianapolis. Highs this afternoon will likely reach the middle 80s, so another seasonal day, before bigger heat begins to return.

Tonight will have clearing skies, lighter winds and a punch of drier air (lowering of dew points). This will result in a great evening and overnight! Coolest start in nearly two weeks (64°) for tomorrow morning...enjoy!

Bright sun and heat return tomorrow, along with a dry stretch taking hold! Upper 80s are expected tomorrow afternoon...followed by 90° heat on Wednesday through Friday! Storm chances will be limited Thursday night before more active days heading into the weekend.
