Dump truck strikes house in Danville

DANVILLE, Ind. - An accident involving a dump truck left major property damage in Danville on Thursday afternoon.




According to the Danville Metropolitan Police Department, both eastbound and westbound lanes of US-36 at County Road 450 West are closed.




Police are asking people to avoid the area and use alternative routes, such as north or south county roads or US-40.




Police are on the scene and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.




According to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department, the truck struck a house, causing major damage. No one was in the house at the time of the accident.
