Are you loving these lows? Early Tuesday the temperatures outlying dipped well into the lower 50s. Coolest 50° New Castle. The dry air and soils are aiding in the strong rebound of as much as 35° by late day and nearing 90° by late afternoon.
Stagnant pattern to persist rest of the week as upper-level "blocking" pattern holds. Low level pollutants are expected to be on the rise and a AIR QUALITY ALERT day has been hoisted for portions of central Indiana until 12am Wednesday.
Flanked by lows east and west, the UPPER-LEVEL high camps out overhead with air sinking and compressing. That's a gas and it heats under these conditions. Temperatures each afternoon - for the rest of the week will very warm, to as much as 10° to 15° above normal.
