Family displaced after house fire in Fishers

FISHERS, Ind. - An investigation is underway after a residential fire displaced a Fishers family Saturday afternoon.




According to the Fishers Fire Department, crews responded to a residential fire in the Sandstone Lakes neighborhood.




Fire crews arrived on scene and contained the fire to the garage, preventing it from spreading further into the home. The interior of the home experienced smoke and water damage, and the residents were displaced as a result, Fishers FD reported.

Fire crews said a neighboring home sustained exterior damage to the side of its garage, but did not take on any internal damage.




Two firefighters were treated on scene for dehydration, Fishers FD said.




No other injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
