Flames spotted on roof of 7-story hotel near Lucas Oil Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS - Firefighters responded to a high-rise fire in downtown Indianapolis as flames were spotted on the roof of a seven-story hotel.




The Indianapolis Fire Department was called to the Tru by Hilton hotel at 4:40 p.m. This hotel is located just one block from Lucas Oil Stadium on Russell Avenue.




The FOX59/CBS4 tower cam showed firefighters arriving on the roof while visible flames and black smoke rose into the sky near the edge of the building.

Fire crews acted fast, knocking down the fire quickly. As of 5:10 p.m., flames and smoke were no longer visible on the tower cam.




At this time, no information has been provided about the fire.
