Be prepared for a chilly start to the day as temperatures fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s. It is expected to be the coolest morning since June 1, when Indy fell to a low of 43°. Areas of patchy frost are possible across the northern half of central Indiana through 9 a.m. The calm conditions, clear skies and 30s will contribute to the frost formation for locations north of Indianapolis.
A heavier jacket will be necessary at the bus stop. However, temperatures will recover nicely by the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Highs today are close to the average high for the date in Indianapolis (average: 69°).
We are tracking another cool night ahead with light winds, clear skies and lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Some outlying locations have a real chance of seeing patchy frost early tomorrow morning!
The weather on Friday is going to be bright and comfortable as highs rebound into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Conditions look pleasant for high school football games, and any fall activities happen across the Hoosier State! However, there is a very weak shower chance late Friday evening and night.
Dry weather conditions are anticipated for the weekend as temperatures gradually rise. Highs will reach into the lower 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are going to be comfortable by kickoff for the Colts game happening on Sunday!
The quiet weather pattern continues for the start of the next workweek. Temperatures will also rise above average with projected highs in the mid to upper 70s.
