Gunfire prompts large police presence on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS - Gunshots prompted a large police presence on the near north side of Indianapolis early Tuesday morning.




Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of N. Pennsylvania Street just after 4 a.m. for a reported shooting.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police haven't commented on the disturbance. However, a witness reported hearing multiple gunshots that woke her up. Other neighbors also reported hearing gunfire.




Several units responded to the scene. The case remains under investigation.
