Hancock County man convicted of residential entry, confinement following trial

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. - A Hancock County man was convicted of several criminal charges following a multi-day jury trial in the Hancock Superior Court 1.

Dalton Rowe was convicted of the following offenses:

  • Residential Entry, a Level 6 Felony

  • Confinement, a Level 3 Felony

  • Invasion of Privacy, a Misdemeanor

  • Criminal Trespass, a Misdemeanor

Rowes case is now set for a bench trial on July 16 for the court to determine if he is a habitual offender.

"I am grateful for the work of the Jury in staying late into the evening to deliver this verdict. The work of the HCPO team on these kinds of intensive victim cases is excellent," said Prosecutor Eaton.

"There is so much that goes into these cases with our victim assistance team and our deputy prosecutors, it is gratifying to achieve this result. We look forward to the opportunity to be in Court next week and present evidence in the habitual offender phase of this litigation."

This is an active investigation. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
