Happy Fourth of July and it's going to be hot across Central Indiana! Temperatures will climb into the upper 80's by lunchtime under a partly sunny sky. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day!
Two of the last three Independence Days have reached 90°, a date that has topped 90°on 43 occasions - that's 28% of the July 4th's on record. The hottest 103° in 1911 and we nearly tied that record in 2012 when we topped 102. These are the only two that hit 100° on record.
Hot temperatures with a heat index over 100° will most likely occur over the weekend with highs in the lower 90's.
Storm chances return on Sunday and will stick around through Monday.
