Another very muggy start, under mostly clear skies this morning, as temperatures hover in the middle to upper 70s. Expect bright sunshine at sunrise (6:19 a.m.), as more heat is headed in for the day. Winds will remain light this morning and through the afternoon from the southwest.
This afternoon will mark our fifth straight day of 90+ degrees in downtown, with a forecast high of 93°. Not a record but hot enough to put more stress on you and your home's air conditioner. A few storms, like yesterday, will develop, producing added cloud cover in spots and some heavier downpours with lightning. All storms should stay below severe limits but some strong gusts will be possible.
We expect more 90° days on Thursday and Friday, before storm chances rise in coverage for Friday evening and the weekend. Heavier downpours will temper the heat at times, as afternoon highs on Saturday and Sunday will "only" reach the upper 80s.
