The weather has been active this Thursday morning as showers and thunderstorms moved through central Indiana along a slow-moving cold front. The rain was heavy at times, which created flooding issues on the roads. Rain totals have ranged between 1" and 3" within Marion County, which prompted to the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Warning until noon.
Scattered showers are possible through midday as the boundary tracks south of Indiana. Rain chances become more isolated for the afternoon with skies remaining mostly cloudy.
Highs today occurred closer to midnight with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. With the cooler flow of air channeling into the region behind the front, temperatures are going to hold steady throughout the day. Temperatures are going to hover in the lower to mid-70s through the afternoon.
Skies will turn mostly clear overnight as temperatures fall into the lower 60s. It will be a refreshing morning by Friday with dew points in the mid to upper 50s! The weather looks ideal for the opening day at the Indiana State Fair and for its first weekend. Highs will rise into the lower 80s on Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances will hold off until Monday.
